Found in Southern Africa, Angola and Malawi most are summer growing, but there are two species from the Cape Province of South Africa that are winter growing. There are also many colourful hybrids.

With a lovely descriptive name, one of our favourite flowers! This winter growing deciduous and evergreen plant that reaches heights of 60cm has the most beautiful green and white flowers. Best sown in the autumn.
