Acacia is a genus of shrubs and trees belonging to the subfamily Mimosoideae of the family Fabaceae.
The Acacia Borleae grows to 5 metres. It is a very hardy tree and is grown extensively in Zimbabwe and the Northern parts of South Africa. It does very well without tending and thrives in the dryer lowveld areas. It makes a very good bonsai specimen and is rather quick growing.
