Geissorhiza is a genus of about 80 species of flowering plants in the iris family which originate from South Africa. The genus name is derived from the Greek words geisson, meaning "tile", and rhizon, meaning "root". With attractive blue violet flowers in late spring, sow this species that grows up to 30cm in autumn.
