Freesia is a genus in the Iridaceae of about 14 species from southern Africa, mostly from the winter rainfall region of South Africa.
With erect leaves and growing up to 45cm, this indigenous plant features spicy, scented white, greenish purple flowers with orange markings in spring and early summer.
