Soil requirements for a Carnivorous plant variety vary depending on where it comes from since these are found in Asia, Australia, America, and Europe. However, regular garden soil alone is not suitable for any Carnivorous variety.

It is important to mimic the naturally nutrient deficient soils carnivorous plants grow in.

Our Premium Carnivorous Growing Medium is available in various sizes to suit your growing needs. Our Premium Carni Mix is a hand blended 60:40 mix of Peat and Perlite in a 100% all natural format with no additives.

Sphagnum Peat Moss and Perlite are ideal mediums for growing most types of carnivorous plants.

Use our Premium Carni Mix  to grow your Venus fly traps, Pitcher Plants, Nepenthes, Drosera or Sundews to name but a few.

This mix allows for fast draining as well as being light and airy to allow oxygen to get to the roots.

A true tested and proven blend also perfect to use for repotting your store bought plants as they grow.

Suitable for use on all the carnivorous plants we stock.
