Megabite Tomato - Large Beefsteak type tomato - Containers - Lycopersicon Esculentum - 5 Seeds
Ready at 70 days from transplanting. A determinate variety. A tomato plant compact enough to grow in a container on the patio, yet strong enough to grow big beefsteak fruits, and productive enough to set up to 60 on every plant! This very sturdy, heavy-yielding plant sets 4- to 6-ounce fruit of bright red tomatoes on very short lateral branches. Being close to the stem, the fruit is better supported, so you needn't stake and tie up your harvest while you're waiting for it to ripen. And Mega Bite resists splitting! The fruit measures 3 to 4 inches in diameter, a great size for slicing into sandwiches, and it's firm enough for that, too. But the combination of meat and succulent juices is excellent.
